Tennille Shields is the Grants Associate for the Capacity Building & Capital Access Programs. In this role, she serves on the programs operations team and works closely with the Healthy Food Financing Initative (HFFI) team throughout the grantee onboarding, capital deployment and portfolio management process.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the nonprofit industry, she brings a diverse skillset to her work, having previously held positions as a senior editor for a national trade association, grant writer at a health care organization, and a program manager for a United Way where she focused on helping families meet basic needs.
Shields holds a bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College.
